Egypt attracts foreign property buyers

Overseas property investors are continuing to snap up residences in Egypt, industry analysts have said.
According to the BuyAssociation website, the north African country has become popular with investors from a number of different countries, including the UK and France.
However, property editor Paul Collins said it is also attracting a growing number of Russian and Italian buyers.
This, he stated, means that interest in the Egyptian market is likely to remain strong, even if economic problems in the UK dampen interest in buying a property abroad.
Mr Collins commented: "Even if things are worse than expected in the UK, it's got interest in Russia and Italy as well, backing it up, to help keep the prices growing over there."
He added that Egypt's broad appeal makes a "strong investment proposition" with considerable growth potential.
This comes after Gulf Weekly stated that resorts along the Red Sea have become particularly popular with foreign investors, along with places on the Mediterranean coastline.
