Egypt attracts British tourists

Many overseas property investors in Egypt will be benefiting from an influx of British holidaymakers.
According to online travel agency Lastminute.com, an increasing number of people from the UK are choosing to book holidays outside Europe during January.
Egypt was highlighted as one of the most popular destinations, due to its accessibility and year-round sunshine.
This means that owners of holiday accommodation in the country will be seeing higher occupancy rates, which will translate into stronger rental yields.
John Bevan, managing director of Lastminute.com, told the Daily Mail: "A miserable January, together with the return to work, have prompted many people to start planning their escape to grab some winter sun."
He added that since the beginning of the year, it had seen a 38 per cent increase in the number of holiday bookings.
This comes after Egypt was recommended to overseas property investors by the BuyAssociation website.
