Dubai's population tipped to grow further

Demand for property in Dubai is likely to keep increasing over the next few years, as experts are forecasting further population increases.
According to property analyst Shelter Offshore, about 1.4 million individuals live in the emirate, of which three-quarters are foreign expats.
The online portal believes that within the next 12 years, this could figure could increase to as much as four million.
If these predictions are accurate, this would place further demands on Dubai's construction industry, as extra housing will be needed.
Shelter Offshore commented: "The rate of population expansion in Dubai is not abating.
"The rate of construction activity in the emirate is developing apace before all the original developments are even completed."
High demand for property in Dubai is already fuelling considerable price rises across the region.
AMEInfo recently revealed that house prices in some areas have gone up by 15 per cent in the last month alone.
