Dubai to attract more visitors

Dubai's tourist trade is likely to experience further growth over the next few years, experts have suggested.
According to Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), seven million holidaymakers reserved accommodation in the region during 2007.
The organisation has predicted that this figure could increase to about ten million by 2010.
This will be good news for owners of buy-to-let accommodation in Dubai, as it means they will be likely to see greater demand for their services.
As a result, the area could become more appealing to prospective investors in foreign property.
Khalid Ahmed bin Sulayem, director general of DTCM, commented: "The next three years will see the most dramatic developments in tourism projects in Dubai."
He added that the body is aiming to consolidate Dubai's position as a hub for global leisure travellers.
This comes after the Chicago Tribune reported that United Airlines will begin flying between Washington and Dubai in October.
