It has emerged that a new five-star hotel being built in Dubai is close to opening.
Dubai has proved extremely popular with overseas property investors and those looking for second homes in recent years and this latest announcement by Millennium Hotels & Resorts is evidence of the steady upsurge in interest and investment in the region.
The company's five star Jewel of Millennium Towers Hotel Dubai, which will comprise 149 furnished suites and 203 hotel rooms along with a range of meeting rooms and restaurants, is set to open this summer, according to AME Info.
"International brand names are expanding their presence in the Middle East region and there is a constant need for quality lodging both in terms of hotels, suite apartments and resort facilities," said Ali Hamad Lakhraim, the president of Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East and north Africa region.
The firm currently owns or manages hotels in 18 different countries, including the Mayfair in London and the Millennium Broadway in New York.
