Dubai opens real estate show

The Cityscape Dubai 2007 has opened this week to display the real estate projects of over 1,000 exhibitors.
As reported by Business Intelligence Middle East, about 45,000 people are expected to visit the event, including regional and international investors, property developments, architects, designers and governmental and development authorities.
Opened by United Arab Emirates minister of state for cabinet affairs and Dubai Holding chairman Mohammed Al Gergawi, the real estate show is the sixth of its kind and is reported to be expecting a 28 per cent increase in audience attendance compared to 2006.
Project management expertise from Middle Eastern companies is increasingly popular among the international community, Mr Gergawi told the news agency.
"The number, quality and diversity of exhibitors
mark Cityscape Dubai as the leading property market for institutional investors from around the world," Cityscape group director Rohan Marwaha added.
Set to appear at the exhibition is the Dubai World Central real estate development, which according to Dubai Aviation chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum will set a benchmark in terms of environmentally conscious urban design, the Arabian Business reports.
