Dubai investors gather for property show

Investors eyeing up Dubai as a property location are flocking to the city this week as the International Property Show (IPS) 2007 gets underway.
The three-day event, running from April 3rd to April 5th, will see thousands of vendors and buyers attend, with exhibitors expected to top the 150 mark.
Last year's show was said by the organisers to have generated business of up to $15 billion, with Dubai rapidly becoming an investor hotspot for property developers.
Backers of the IPS say they have even moved to take bigger premises, with increased floor space for this year.
Inward investment in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai in particular has seen the property market take off in recent years.
A popular holiday destination as well as a rich retail and economic environment, Dubai has become a regular fixture for tourists and businessmen.
Dubai's Land Department said property deals in the city hit Dh3.59 billion (£496 million) in July last year.
