Britons to keep travelling across the globe

Economic problems such as the global credit crunch are not impacting on the tourism sector, experts believe.
A poll of independent travel agents by The Network found that the vast majority were expecting growth in the industry this year.
More than one in three firms told researchers that they expected the level of holiday bookings to go up by at least five per cent in 2008 and possibly as much as ten per cent.
In addition, one in four companies said they were anticipating a much higher rate of growth during the coming year.
This could be good news for those countries that are tipped to benefit the most, such as Spain, Italy and Dubai, as it means holiday accommodation in these locations will be in high demand.
As a result, numerous opportunities for overseas property investors could be created in the most popular tourist markets.
The poll follows research by the UN World Tourism Organisation which revealed that the global population made 898 million trips abroad during 2007.
