Investors 'able to visit Cyprus in winter'

Overseas property investors hoping to get to Cyprus in winter have been told that it is still accessible by air during the season.
Travel expert Richard Green said that although the number of flights was lower than in summer, carriers such as British Airways still offered services to the island.
He was responding to concerns from the owner of a holiday home in Cyprus, who wrote to the Sunday Times saying he had heard that airlines did not go there from the UK in winter.
Writing in the newspaper, Mr Green insisted that this was not actually the case, despite the reduction in the number of services.
However, he said that if people were on a budget, they would benefit from trying to find a flight with a charter carrier, as they offered cheaper flights.
Mr Green commented: "Having your own property out there does mean that you aren't tied to specific dates, so it is definitely worth looking at last minute charter deals if money is a factor."
This comes after low-cost airline Jet2.com announced the launched of a range of services from its Leeds Bradford International Airport to destinations including Cyprus.
