Fly-to-let in Cyprus

Cheap air travel has boosted the profit potential of Cyprus, especially on the island's eastern side, according to industry experts.
A rich cultural history and a wealth of seasonal attractions have made Larnaca and the surrounding eastern area an investment hotspot, with a thriving expat community.
Talking to Firstrung Now, John Reilly, managing director of Buy Abroad, said that new air links had greatly improved the fly-to-let potential of this part of Cyprus.
"If you want capital growth…I would buy on the east side of the island, around Larnaca. It's a lot cheaper and a lot easier to get to than it was a year ago," he said.
With return flights available for as little as £89 and a host of other journeys costing less than £150, rental income could offer great returns for British buyers, from both short-term holidaymakers and expatriates with a longer stay in mind.
According to Channel4.com, some 60,000 Brits have invested in a second home in Cyprus.
