Cyprus holidaymakers 'still have time to change currency'

British leisure travellers have been advised that they can still convert Cypriot pounds into euros.
Sunday Times travel expert Richard Green told those with leftover notes and coins that they still had a few months to exchange them into the new currency.
However, he said there was a limited amount of time that people would be able to convert their money at any of the island's banks.
Mr Green stated that from July 1st, an exchange would only be possible at the Central Bank of Cyprus in Nicosia.
He commented: "Scouring your sock draws for any leftover Cypriot notes or coins wont be in vein, as it will still be easy to exchange the old currency for a little while yet."
Cyprus changed over from the pound to the euro at the beginning of this year, along with Malta.
A total of 15 countries in Europe now use the currency, including Spain, France and Italy.
