Cyprus currency changeover splits opinion

A large proportion of people in Cyprus have welcomed the island's new currency, a newspaper poll has found.
The Famagusta Gazette carried out a survey of its readers on its website in order to gauge the public's response to the euro.
More than a third of respondents were found to be in favour of the currency, although nearly one in five said they did not like it.
In addition, 17 per cent of respondents said they wanted to bring back the pound, while 29 per cent did not express an opinion either way.
These people said that since the euro had only been in circulation on the island for a fortnight, it was too early to cast a judgement.
Cyprus changed over from the pound to the euro at the beginning of this year, along with Malta.
A total of 15 countries in Europe now use the currency, including Spain, France and Italy.
