Cypriot market waking up

Property experts in Cyprus have stressed their confidence in the strength of their housing market, according to the Cyprus Mail.
Though the European property boom has recently been rocked by fears of a crash in Spain claims which the Spanish government have been very quick to deny Cyprus will only benefit from widespread worry among investors.
George Couconis, a property lawyer, told the Cyprus Mail that the Cypriot and Spanish markets bore no resemblance to each other and that British investors would be well advised to snap up great Cypriot bargains as quickly as possible.
"We are a small country with a stable market, strong climate and low crime rate. Prices and demand will continue to rise for some time, with more and more foreigners buying property on the island," he said.
He continued: "In addition, land is limited, which fuels price rises."
Cyprus was recently named as one of the most profitable overseas investments spots, with predicted capital returns of 37 per cent.
