Cypriot housing market continues to grow

Owners of property in Cyprus could be in line to collect healthy returns if they sell up at a later date.
According to the Independent, ongoing problems in the global economy have not stifled growth in the Cypriot housing market.
Indeed, whereas many countries in Europe saw house prices go up by just three per cent last year, property values in Cyprus rose by 20 per cent.
This is excellent for overseas property investors who have a residence on the island, as it means they are likely to get good returns in the future.
Commenting on Cyprus' investment potential, the newspaper said: "There's a convincing case for investors.
"It looks as though the island may buck the current trend for falling house prices."
The Independent added that properties in Cyprus are currently on the market at very affordable prices.
Earlier this week, the Cyprus Mail described the performance of the island's housing market in the last year as "buoyant".
