More Britons head to Croatia

More and more British holidaymakers are choosing to visit Croatia, experts have revealed.
According to the Croatian National Tourist Office, 275,000 UK nationals visited the eastern European country last year.
Tourists were said to have gone to many different parts of the country, including the northern city of Rijeka and further south in Dubrovnik.
This suggests that holiday accommodation is in high demand in various regions, therefore creating numerous opportunities for overseas property buyers to benefit.
A spokesperson for the Croatian National Tourist Office commented: "It is a destination which is very, very popular at the moment."
He added that the recent surge in tourist numbers was partly due to favourable media coverage about the country.
According to official figures, almost 11 million holidaymakers visited Croatia between January and November 2007.
This is eight per cent more than during the same period in 2006.
