Low-cost carrier announces Croatian flights

A budget airline has announced that it is to launch a new service between Scotland to Croatia.
Flyglobespan's flights from Edinburgh Airport to the emerging property hotspot will be available to consumers from next summer, potentially boosting investment prospects in the country.
Tom Dalrymple, chairman of the low-cost carrier, was quoted by BBC News as saying that it had already achieved success in the Croatian market with the success of its services to Pula.
He said: "I am confident that Croatia will continue to be an attractive destination for holidaymakers."
The new service will fly to the city of Dubrovnik, further opening up the country for tourists and overseas investors in Scotland.
A spokesman for Edinburgh Airport predicted that the flight would prove to be popular with Scots, as Dubrovnik was one of Europe's most "beautiful and ancient cities".
Earlier this month, UK newspaper the Telegraph recommended that prospective investors keep an eye on which services are being launched by low-cost carriers, as their destinations may be future growth areas.
