Foreign tourists go to Croatia
People from all over Europe are choosing to take holidays in Croatia, a media report has revealed.
According to the ContraCosta Times, the former Yugoslavian state has become a "hot destination" for leisure travellers from across the continent.
The publication added that its appeal also stretched to places such as the US, as a large number of American tourists were now choosing to go there.
Many of Croatia's attractions were praised in the report, including its "unbelievable" natural beauty and hospitable locals.
In addition, it stated that it had not been spoilt by the growth in its tourist trade and still retained its original charm.
The publication said: "Croatia remains refreshingly authentic in spite of its growing popularity as a tourist destination."
According to recent figures cited by IOL Travel, the number of business and leisure travellers visiting Croatia has risen again this year.
Statistics showed that between January and September 2007, the amount of foreign arrivals was six per cent higher than during the same period of 2006.
