Croatia recommended to investors
Overseas property investors have been advised to consider looking at the Croatian market.
The eastern European country was recommended by the Foreign Property Buyer website, which said it had overcome its past problems and was now thriving.
Croatia was said to be very popular with holidaymakers because of its "stunning" countryside, including its coastline along the Adriatic.
In addition, the country was praised for offering a number of financial attractions, such as low living costs, affordable properties and easy access from abroad.
The website stated that houses were available for "knock-down" prices, while its tourist market meant that occupancy rates in rental accommodation would be high.
Foreign Property Buyer said: "This emerging tourism industry makes Croatia ripe for foreign property investors with a rental market that is also growing substantially."
The country was recently described by the ContraCosta Times as a "hot destination" for leisure travellers from across Europe.
