Croatia attracts lifestyle buyers
Many foreign property buyers are snapping homes along the Croatian coastline, experts have revealed.
Independent analyst Amberlamb stated that most of these people are lifestyle buyers who want a property for their own personal use.
However, the organisation said that many are also purchasing houses that also offer good returns for property owners.
Rhiannon Davies, director of Amberlamb, commented: "These types of buyers are typically looking for a holiday home that doubles up as an investment, and they are lured to coastal living."
She added that the surge in demand for real estate along the Croatian coast has led to significant growth in its housing market.
Property values were said to have gone "skywards" in recent years, which means that in price terms it cannot be considered an emerging market.
This comes after Holiday-Rentals highlighted the growing popularity of Croatia among UK-based property investors.
The group attributed this to a number of factors, such as affordable property values and recent accessibility improvements.
