Croatia attracts foreign property buyers

Overseas property buyers are increasingly purchasing homes in Croatia, industry analysts have revealed.
According to Amberlamb, many lifestyle buyers are choosing to buy apartments and villas in areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Istria was highlighted as one of the eastern European country's main hotspots for investors, as it offers a number of attractions for second home owners.
Rhiannon Davies, director of Amberlamb, said it compares favourably to places such as Tuscany, with which it bears a "striking" similarity.
Furthermore, the type of buyer who is choosing to enter the market here is also similar, she continued.
"Istria is a region where buyers want older, traditional property that they can renovate or which has been restored already," Ms Davies stated.
This comes after Holiday-Rentals highlighted the growing popularity of Croatia among UK-based property investors.
The group attributed this to a number of factors, such as affordable property values and recent accessibility improvements.
