TV 'fuels interest in Cape Verde'

A growing number of people are looking at investing in Cape Verde because of television programmes about buying abroad.
According to the Mirror, property shows such as A Place in the Sun have helped to raise the profile of the west African archipelago.
Indeed, former Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker will be featured on this week's edition looking at prospective holiday homes in the country.
The newspaper believes that this kind of programming is leading to greater interest in buying investment property in Cape Verde among Britons.
Since demand is getting higher, house prices in the country are following suit and also increasing.
The Mirror commented: "Prices are shooting up 20 per cent a month thanks, in part, to shows like this one.
This comes after Sarah Brown from NuBricks.com said that in recent years, Cape Verde has become a magnet for second home buyers from overseas.
