Investor seeks returns in Cape Verde

Cape Verde could prove to be a potentially lucrative investment market, a property owner has said.
Tony Broadley, a Manchester-based solicitor, purchased a residence in the west African archipelago 18 months ago.
Speaking to Crain's Manchester Business, he said this was a time when prices were very low as foreign investors were only just discovering Cape Verde.
Since the market has subsequently seen considerable growth, Mr Broadley is now considering whether to cash in and collect his capital gains.
He commented: "I bought it as an investment - I don't know if I will keep it or if I will sell it."
Mr Broadley added that the country is benefiting from lots of foreign direct investment, particularly from European countries.
According to NuBricks.com, Cape Verde's government has introduced a strong regulatory framework which offers security and rights to the buyer.
This, it stated, means buying an investment property in Cape Verde is much safer than purchasing in other emerging markets.
