Great time to invest in Cape Verde

Investment property in Cape Verde is set for a boost thanks to the advent of direct flights from the UK, according to one property portal.
Paul Collins, overseas property editor for Buy Association, said that the November 2006 introduction of direct travel was stimulating growth in Cape Verde's tourism and housing sector.
He commented: "This year is the first summer season when there have been direct flights from the UK going out to Cape Verde. That only started at the end of last year.
"This is really the first season where it has been really easy to get there, so yes we certainly would expect to see tourist numbers increasing quite significantly over the next few years.
Mr Collins added: "Anyone buying a property now is likely to be able to benefit from that."
His comments followed the recent release of statistics from Destination Cape Verde, which showed the stunning growth of the islands' tourism industry.
Arrivals to the islands are increasing by some 22 per cent and it is expected that by 2015, one million tourists will visit Cape Verde every year.
