Climate 'boosts Cape Verde's investment potential'

Cape Verde's good climate could help owners of property on the islands secure good returns on their investment, experts have stated.
GEM Estates said that the west African archipelago, which has recently become a prime investment hotspot, has an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius all year round.
As a result, investors would be able to let out their property for longer, allowing them to collect higher proceeds from rental earnings.
In addition, Cape Verde was said to be increasingly popular because it was easily accessible from the UK and three international airports.
Carley Todd, spokesperson for GEM Estates, commented: "It is like the Caribbean, but only five and half hours away from UK with no adverse weather conditions."
She added that as an emerging market, Cape Verde was said to be largely undiscovered and likely to experience "massive" capital growth as it becomes more popular.
Recently, UK newspaper the Mirror predicted that Cape Verde would rival the Canaries in terms of their popularity among overseas property investors.
