Cape Verde to invest in airport upgrades
The government in Cape Verde has said it is committed to investing in and upgrading the country's airports.
Prime minister Jose Maria Neves stated that money will continue to be poured into major transport hubs across the west African archipelago.
In addition, he revealed that he is keen to encourage private sector involvement in the aviation sector in order to drive further growth.
Mr Neves commented: "We will continue to make upgrades to other airports in the country and work to strengthen the regulatory environment in Cape Verde."
He added that while many other countries are under a shadow of economic gloom, no such crisis exists in his homeland.
Indeed, he believes the various problems across the world are opportunities which could "transform" Cape Verde in the future.
This comes after Rhiannon Davies of Shelter Offshore said the government in Cape Verde is doing "all it can" to facilitate investment and encourage foreign real estate ownership.
