Cape Verde 'popular with British buyers'

Foreign property buyers from the UK are increasingly choosing to invest in the Cape Verde islands, according to a media report.
The Observer stated that the west African archipelago had experienced a surge in popularity during the past two years for a number of reasons.
Accessibility improvements were cited as a major factor, as the introduction of direct flights from the UK had opened up the market.
In addition, investors were said to be attracted by the cheap property values, as it allowed them to snap up bargains in a desirable location.
Cape Verde's natural attributes were also highlighted by the newspaper, in particular its good climate, as it meant that visitors were guaranteed to experience sunny weather at any time of the year.
The comments come several weeks after the country's national airline TACV began operating direct services between London's Stansted Airport and capital city Praia.
