British investors plan to buy more property

Economic problems in the UK are not putting property investors from boosting their portfolios, it has been revealed.
However, the study by the Property Investor Show found that many are choosing to shun the domestic market and buy abroad instead.
Figures showed that 25 per cent of prospective investors in the UK plan to make a purchase overseas.
This was said to be partly because some foreign markets offer better growth potential than the UK, as well as lower property values.
Nick Clark, managing director of the Property Investor Show, commented: "It is clear that professional investors are still confident in the longer term returns of bricks and mortar and are intending to expand their portfolios this year."
The research also showed that of those planning to buy abroad, 72 per cent are considering investing in an emerging market.
This comes after currency specialist HiFX revealed that overseas property buyers are becoming increasingly willing to tap into "undeveloped" locations.
