Pamporovo is Bulgarian hotspot
One of the most famous ski resorts in Bulgaria, Pamporovo, is being highlighted as an excellent place to invest in the country.
Quest Bulgaria, an international property publication has described the location as boasting scenic views, sizable properties and "excellent value for money", according to Homesgofast.com
A new road which will mean the Mediterranean sea is only 90 minutes away by car is expected to raise the value of the property at the resort further.
Chris Goodall, managing director of Quest Bulgaria commented of the Bulgarian property market: "This is an emerging country and there are still unusual and interesting areas that have not seen the mad rush and inflated prices experienced in the most popular regions."
Other property hotspots in Bulgaria currently include Bansko, Varna, Lovech and Veliko Turnovo.
The Bulgarian property market as a whole was boosted by the country's accession, along with fellow Eastern European state Romania, to the EU at the start of 2007.
