New flights to Bulgaria set to launch
Low-cost airline easyJet has confirmed that it is to launch a new service between the UK and Bulgaria.
The carrier stated that it will begin offering direct passage between Manchester Airport and capital city Sofia in December, a development which could boost tourism in the region.
In addition, it is likely that the upcoming accessibility improvements could encourage more people to consider buying an investment property in Bulgaria.
Commenting on the new flights, Carly Brear of easyJet said: "The Bulgarian capital is expected to be popular as more people discover what the city and its surrounding areas have to offer."
She added that the introduction of this service shows that there is demand for direct and affordable transport links between Manchester and mainland Europe.
Meanwhile, easyJet has revealed that last month's passenger numbers were 19.5 per cent up on the amount recorded 12 months earlier.
