Investors 'looking at eastern Europe'

Eastern Europe is proving to be highly popular with overseas property buyers from the UK, new research has found.
A study by Holiday-Rentals found that emerging markets such as Bulgaria were attracting a large number of British second home buyers.
Although established countries such as Spain and Italy were named as the most popular choices with investors, the growth of aviation was said to have encouraged some to venture to the east of Europe.
However, prospective buyers were advised by Holiday-Rentals to take the accessibility of a region into account when choosing where they want to make a purchase.
Greg Grant, spokesperson for the firm, commented: "Your chosen location may enjoy year-round sunshine, but are flights still available outside peak season and are local shops and amenities still open?"
He added that those who were considering purchasing a property in places such as Bulgaria should look at how many airlines service the region.
According to VisitBulgaria.net, the country is continuing to grow in popularity as a holiday destination.
