House prices go up in Bulgaria

Property values in Bulgaria have continued to increase this year, according to new figures.
Official data has revealed that during the second quarter of 2008, apartment prices went up by nearly six per cent, reports Novinite.
Growth in the Bulgarian capital Sofia outpaced the national average, as it saw values go up by 6.9 per cent during the three-month period.
Meanwhile, house prices in the city of Kyustendil rose by almost 15 per cent - more than double the amount recorded across as a whole.
The figures will be welcome reading for those who have purchased an investment property in Bulgaria, as it means they could find themselves in line to collect considerable capital gains.
This comes after the Global Property Guide revealed that Bulgaria's property market experienced the highest rate of growth in the world last year.
