Emerging markets 'offer higher returns'

The prospect of greater capital returns is tempting many overseas property investors to emerging markets, according to experts.
Hodge Insurance Brokers stated that an increasing number of people were considering new and developing regions because they were thought they were more lucrative.
David Lewis, associate director at the firm, added that the appeal of emerging markets was being enhanced by the stability of established markets, as they offered less potential for short-term capital growth.
Speaking to the Western Mail, he commented: "Developing sectors are seen as the rising stars of property investment."
Mr Lewis highlighted Bulgaria as a country that was attracting considerable interest, along with Turkey and the Czech Republic.
However, he recommended that since these countries were new and emerging destinations, people should consult a professional before committing to a purchase.
Earlier this month, the Southeast European Times stated that countries such as Croatia and Bulgaria were aiming to increase their market share of tourists by drawing people away from rival markets such as Greece.
