Bulgarian housing market records continued growth

The price of residential property in Bulgaria went up last year, according to newly-released figures.
Statistics published by the Novinite news agency revealed that over the course of last year, average property values across the country rose by 18.6 per cent.
This was attributed to the developing market and high levels of demand, which led to prices rising by as much as a quarter in some areas.
The city of Varna was highlighted as one of the most popular locations among property buyers, with its prices found to be the highest in the country.
In addition, average property prices in the region were said to be 19 per cent up on their level 12 months before.
Earlier this month, the Global Property Guide revealed that Bulgaria's property market experienced the highest rate of growth in the world last year.
Property values were said to have risen by 30.6 per cent since the previous year, more than the amount recorded in places such as Estonia and Lithuania.
