Bulgaria Property Investment News
Bulgaria still safe for investment

Reports of British investors experiencing problems with Bulgarian property have been greatly exaggerated, according to property experts.
The Daily Express had recently claimed that UK homebuyers faced a rocky ride when investing in Bulgarian property, due to confusion over ownership regulations and unscrupulous landlords.
However, in conversation with Focus news agency, Ivan Goranov of property consultants Home For You said that the problems referred to were an isolated incident and certainly not the typical experience of the thousands of British buyers.
"Foreigners, especially British property seekers, know regulations and use the services of well-known Bulgarian companies that advise them concerning land ownership and usage," he argued.
Mr Goranov also stressed the safety of the Bulgarian economy, adding that the British, Irish and Russians were confident investors, as "EU accession guarantees security".
A recent Moneycorp survey showed the rising popularity of Bulgaria as a destination for overseas property investment and its challenge to the established French and Spanish property markets, with 12 per cent of British investors contemplating buying in Bulgaria.
