Brazil 'set for property boom'

Increased interest in the emerging market of Brazil is likely to trigger a property boom, experts have predicted.
Knight Frank stated that the country's housing market was "massively untapped" and likely to experience substantial growth as a result of its growing popularity with foreign investors.
The firm said it was attracting considerable interest from prospective buyers across the world, including in countries such as Spain and the UK.
Meanwhile, a surge in Brazil's popularity was also said to be occurring among investors in the US.
Liam Bailey, head of residential research at Knight Frank, commented: "Brazil is likely to see considerable wealth creation over the next decade."
He added that the market would expand even more after the completion of a new international airport, as people would be able to fly directly to areas such as Natal.
The portal at San Gonsalvo is expected to be open for business in 2010 and will be one of the largest portals in the world.
